Dr Abad ur Rehman Awan is a distinguished Professor and Head of Nephrology at the Post Graduate Medical Institute / Ameer Ud Din Medical College, Lahore General Hospital. He graduated from Punjab Medical College, Faisalabad, in 1997 and went on to complete his fellowship in Nephrology at the Post Graduate Medical Complex, Sheikh Zayed Hospital, Lahore.

With over 25 years of experience in Nephrology, Dr Awan has held significant positions including Senior Registrar and Assistant Professor. He has been a key figure in successfully managing Dialysis and Renal Transplant programmes. His extensive involvement in undergraduate and postgraduate medical training, as well as his contributions to national and international Nephrology conferences, further solidify his leadership in the field.
